A beautiful mid-century modern lamp by Kastrup Glasværk, Denmark, dating to the 1950s–1960s. The lamp features a tall, conical base in Opaline-finished white glass and is an elegant example of Scandinavian modernist design. Its simple, refined form is complemented by the original brass fittings, which show a warm, aged patina consistent with age.
The underside retains the original Kastrup Glas label, confirming its original Danish origin. Kastrup was one of Denmark’s leading glassworks before merging with Holmegaard in 1965, and pieces with intact labels are increasingly hard to find.
Condition is very good, no chips or cracks to the base and only with minor wear from age and use. The lamp has been PAT tested and re-plugged and as you can see is in perfect working order and ready to go.
As you can see from the final picture this is a large table lamp so really will suit any room.
Dimensions: 43cm Height x 10cm Wide at base
A fine piece of Danish mid-century lighting design, perfect for collectors of Scandinavian glass or to complement any modern interior.
