Selzer Siphon Bottles, Briet, France, Early 20th C

Incredibly stylish pair of French seltzer bottles crafted by Briet.

Hand blown double gourd glass bulbs wrapped in wicker reed mesh with pewter triggers and porcelain bases. The inner fixtures are also complete and have their original cork still in tact. Both siphons are stamped Briet, Paris around the taps.

These date from the around the late 19th to early part of the 20th century given popularity of these bottles in the 1920's & 1930's.

Patina on the wicker is exceptional and the pewter is untouched and original condition.

These are superb quality and are of considerable weight due to the quality of the glass and porcelain.

They are in excellent as can be seen in the photographs, the wicker all 100% complete. Minor wearing on the pewter consistent with age but even the bases are excellent.
